Marie Fortunato Weisburn, 88,

passed away peacefully December 12, 2009. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, she has resided in Brookhaven, Pa, for the past 17 years. She previously resided in Media, Pa, and grew up in Philadelphia, Pa. She graduated from Overbrook High School, Philadelphia, Pa. She worked for TV Guide and also Brown’s Coffee Shop, Center City, Philadelphia.

She belonged to different churches, donated to different animal charities, and has been a lifelong member of Anti Viva Section Society of Pennsylvania. She loved spending time with friends and family, playing cards, bingo, and going to horse races. She loved going to see the Big Bands. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend and took amazing care of those she loved. She was a very generous woman who was full of laughs and loved to have a good time. In her younger years she was remembered as a stunning, beautiful woman with a wonderful personality and a huge heart. Her love of animals, especially her bird Teelee, gave her much joy in her later years. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was the wife of the late Erwin Weisburn for 56 years before his passing in 2007.

She was the daughter of the late Violet and Eugene Fortunato.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Marilyn Weisburn Abadie of Brookhaven, Pa. She was the sister of Eugene Fortunato Jr. of Clifton Heights, Pa, Jean Mirarchi of Drexel Hill, Pa, and Dolores Roberto of Philadelphia, Pa.

Funeral service will be held Friday 10am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.

Friends may call Friday 9-10am at the funeral home.

Interment Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
