Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice. Pre-planning provides you with the time needed to make practical, detailed decisions that reflect your standards, lifestyle, taste and budget.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral.
I cannot thank you enough for all you did for me and my family to ensure that Charles' burial was such a wonderful experience. The arrangements that you and the funeral home here in Florida worked on to ensure my husband's casket was shipped to Philadelphia was outstanding. From transporting his body from the airport, calling me when you picked him up, arranging the Navy Honor Guard for him, to the day he was buried at Gate of Heaven on the VA Lawn in Berlin, New Jersey, you and your staff ensured that every detail was perfect. My family has had prior experience with Bateman Funeral Home in the past years and the same attention to detail was always the same. You and your staff are attentive and caring and I highly recommend your funeral home. Thank you Charles and Staff for all you do to ease the sadness.
My father passed away in June and it was devastating. Not only did we need to try to process our loss but we also needed to make funeral arrangements, which is overwhelming in a time that is already difficult. We reached out to Bateman-Allen Funeral Home and Charles were amazing. He was kind and supportive and guided us through every detail. Charles went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and answered every question. There are so many things that you don't think about and having a caring, compassionate person to guide you through meant everything to me and my family. Thank you Bateman-Allen Funeral Home and thank you, Charles.
Our family recently lost my brother-in-law. Charles made a very hard time much easier for our family. He was compassionate and patient yet very professional. He went above and beyond accommodating our every need. Words cannot express how grateful we are. We highly recommend Bateman-Allen Funeral Home to everyone.
We can’t thank you enough for all you did for us during the difficult time due to the loss of our family member. You were available to see us with an hour of our loss. We are thankful that you did everything you could to bring her close to us where we knew she was cared for with respect by you. You were available to us every time we needed something – day or night and nothing was a problem for you in anything we asked. In our eyes, you went over and above of what we expected in every aspect of taking care of our loved one.

I have no words how wonderful Bateman-Allen Funeral Home treated our family with compassion and respect when our Father past. I have known Charles since he was a child and I couldn't think of anyone better to take of our Dad.
They were wonderful. From helping my brother pick my Dad up off of the floor so I wouldn't see him like that when I arrived. To allowing us to keep him at home until family that lived in the area was able to say their goodbyes at home. They were there every step of the way to guide and answer questions. Bateman Funeral Home has been part of Brookhaven for many years and know they have grown their family by the addition of Charles Allen.
Again, I have no words to express our gratitude. All I can say is your family will be in great hands at Bateman-Allen Funeral Home.
We used the Bateman-Allen funeral home to make arrangements for my uncle when he became terminally ill. From the start Eve was compassionate and patient. She walked us through all of the arrangements and answered every question we had. During such a difficult time it was a weight off our shoulders knowing everything was handled and we didn’t have to worry about anything. We had full confidence in Eve and the Bateman-Allen funeral home and we were not disappointed. Thank you for helping our family through this process.
From start to finish, the Bateman-Allen funeral home was a huge help to our family. In 1950, Edward E. Bateman opened the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home at the intersection of Edgmont Avenue & Roland Road in Parkside, Pennsylvania to serve the needs of the residents in the surrounding community. In 1960, Edward, more commonly known as Ned, saw a need to expand his base of operations and moved his business to its present location in Brookhaven. In 1975, Ned’s son, Lee, became a licensed funeral director and joined the family business as an associate. In 1982, Lee became the owner and supervisor of the funeral home.
