Joseph F. Ferrell III, 67,

passed away July 10, 2010 at Taylor Hospice, Ridley Park, Pa.

Born in Ridley Park, Pa, he was a resident of Essington, Pa, for the past few months. He previously resided in Brookhaven, Pa, before moving to Citris County, Fl (Inverness) where he lived for 11 years. He graduated from Ridley Township School in 1961. He worked for PECO as a gas utilization mechanic for 33 years before his retirement. He belonged to Am-Vets in Morton, Philadelphia Yacht Club, The Moose, the Eagles, and loved dirt track racing.

He was the son of Martha Ferrell and the late Joseph Ferrell Jr.

He was the beloved husband of Rose Ferrell for 28 years; loving father of Christopher Ferrell of West Virginia, Douglas Ferrell of Wallingford, Pa, Steven Ferrell of Philadelphia, Pa, Michelle Coppinger of Philadelphia, Pa, Danielle Malinowski of Brookhaven, Pa, and Hope Digregorio of Wallingford, Pa; brother of the late John Ferrell

and survived by his sister Martha Carroll of Old Fort, N. Carolina.

He was the grandfather of 11 and the great grandfather of 1.
