Margaret “Maggie” Seamen December 10, 1930 - July 14, 2010

Margaret “Maggie” R. Seamen, 79,

Passed away Wednesday July 14, 2010 with her family at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown, Pa.

Born in the Philadelphia area she resided in Parkside before moving to Brookhaven, Pa where she lived for 45 years before moving to Hellertown. She graduated from Sharon Hill High School.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was truly proud of her family. Maggie will long be remembered for her artistic and creative talents and her love of the beach. She served for many years as a volunteer at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa, and played a key part in the Art Show fund raisers and famous “Balloon Booth”. She was also employed at the Media Court House.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband George Smith Seamen; her parents Milton and Margaret Silvey; her brother Lawrence Silvey; and her great grandchild John Thomas.

She was the loving mother of George S. Seamen Jr. (Loraine) of Raleigh, NC, Catherine E. LaSpada (Ray) of Bear, De, and Patricia Reitz (Hall) of Hellertown, Pa; sister of Frank Silvey of Virginia and Adelaide Yurgensen of Paoli; grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 6.

Funeral service will be held Monday 10am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. .

Visitation Sunday 2-4pm and also 9-10am Monday morning at the funeral home.

Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
