Wilma Isla Gummel June 7, 1927 - July 25, 2011

Wilma Isla Gummel (nee Moore), 84, passed away July 25, 2011 at Taylor Hospice, Ridley Park, Pa. Born in Fairview, KY, she was a resident of Wallingford, Pa, for the past 55 years. She graduated from Wilmore High School, KY. She was a crossing guard for Nether Providence Township and belonged to St. John’s Chyrsostom Church in Wallingford, Pa. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved trips to the mountains and the shore. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Gummel who passed away in 2010 after 57 years of marriage and her parents Tarlton and Nellie Moore. She is survived by her children Michael and Mark Gummel, Janet MacCall, and Jacqueline Gummel; her sisters Juanita Morgan and Jeanetta Crews; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Sunday evening 7-9 and also Monday 10-11am at the funeral home.
