Carol Fedele June 5, 1924 - July 30, 2011

Carol Fedele (née Hinderliter), 87, passed peacefully on July 30, 2011 at Calvary Fellowship Home, where she recently resided and made many new friends. Fir the past 5 yrs, she lived in Lancaster Co., across the street from a pond, where she loved watching the ducks and geese and occasionally they”d come to visit at her door. She was very fond of animals, especially her cats Cleo and Jasmine. She was raised in The West end of Chester and graduated from Chester High in 1942 with awards in Art and English after which she worked at Delaware Co. National Bank for 12 years. Carol met her husband, Alex, to whom she was married for 50 yrs and who predeceased her in 2003 at the Great Leopard Skating Rink in Chester. Following their marriage at St.Joseph’s rectory in Collingdale in 1953, they lived in Parkside, where she was a homemaker and an active member of Our Lady of Charity Church. Second only to her love of the Phillies, her favorite pastime was bingo and Carol went to most of the area church halls, where she was known to don her favorite color, purple and during baseball season, to bring her radio so she wouldn’t miss the Phillies games. Carol is survived by her children Joseph Fedele (Penny) of Louisville, KY, Alex Fedele Jr. of Ventura, CA, Nancy Pierce of Lancaster, PA, grandchildren Carrie Pierce of Parkside, Michael Graboyes (Ashley) of Plainview MN, Nicole Fedele of Nashville, TN, Joshua Fedele (Rebecca) of Dayton, Oh, Sister-in-Law Vera DeArmond, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 great nieces, and 1 great grand nephew and will be fondly remembered by Dave Rimmert and Jim Voshell & Family.

Funeral service Wedensday 11:30 am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Wedensday 10-11:30am at the funeral home. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa, 19064. Donations can be made to Asera Care Hospice, 315 Primrose Road Ln., Suite 101, Mountville, Pa, 17554.
