Verna J. Ellis August 22, 1940 - April 17, 2011

Verna J. Ellis (nee Carlyle), 70, passed away April 17, 2011. She was a current resident of Aston, pa, and previously lived in Shallotte, NC. She was the beloved wife of Charles O. Ellis for 47 years. She was the daughter of the late James and Leila Carlyle. She was the loving mother of Jeffrey (Gennie) Henson, Jamie (Barbara) Ellis, Joey (Marlene) Ellis, Gail Cuffari, Rona (Robbie) Stern, Diane (Steve) Roberts, Donna (Bryan) Gatta, and Dorothy (Ed) Slotwinski. She was the sister of Bill (Dot) Carlyle. Proud grandmother of 19 and great grandmother of 4. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:30am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 10-11:30am at the funeral home. Interment private.
