Sara G. Walker September 22, 1918 - September 1, 2009

Sara G. Walker, of Brookhaven since 1952, rose to be with her Lord on September 1, 2009. Sally was born to Paul Clifford Kriebel and Sara King Kriebel on September 22, 1918 in Chester and lived in the city throughout her school years. She and Harry Edward Walker were married in 1936, soon welcomed Christ as the Master of their lives and lived for Him while being blessed with four children. Harry went to be with the Lord in 1986.

Sally was a dedicated wife and mother who devoted almost all of her energy to the upbringing, education and success of her children and to her service in three local church congregations. She had many wonderful friends and, although generally not outspoken outside the family, was an incisive thinker who lived with strong values and views.

Sally’s children include Judith Shive and husband, Ronald of Brookhaven, Pa; Carl Walker and wife Catherine of Delran, NJ; daughter in law, Elizabeth (Roberts) Walker of Southampton, NJ; and Paul Walker and wife Madelyn of Casi Cielo, NM. Her son, Harry Walker Jr., went to Heaven in 2001.

Her grandchildren are Stacey (Shive) Raker and husband Robert of Brookhaven, Pa; Brian Shive of Binghamton, NY; Carl Walker Jr. and wife Karen of Levittown, Pa; Christopher Walker and wife Michelle of Stratford, NJ; Harry E. Walker III and wife Jeannine of Samong, NJ; Amy Lombardo and husband Guy of Shamong, NJ; Susan Walker and husband Tod Brody of Petaluma, CA; Stephanie Walker Bean and husband Lawrence of Arlington, WA; Deirdre Walker of Burien, WA; and Andrea Walker Hanson and husband Brian of Rochester, MN. Kimberly Walker, daughter of Harry Jr. and Elizabeth, went to be with the Lord in 1983.

Sally is survived by 15 loving great grandchildren.

Funeral service Friday 11am at the North Chester Baptist Church, 2331 Providence Ave., Chester, Pa, 19013. Visitation Friday 9-11 at the church. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, Pa.
