Joseph Ammon, 61, passed away September 3, 2009 at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he has been a resident of Upland, Pa, for the past 3 years and was
originally from Upper Darby.
He graduated from West Catholic High School, class of 1966.
He worked for Upper Darby Post Office for 35 years. He was passionate about golf and also enjoyed bowling and playing softball. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy L. and John R. Ammon and his brothers, John R. Ammon Jr. and James R. Ammon.
He was survived by his sisters Catherine Hill of Upland, Pa, and Dorothy Marigliano of Southwest Philadelphia, Pa. He was also survived by his nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own children, Dorothy Nazmy of Upland, Pa, James Corkery of Havertown, Pa, John Ammon III of Philadelphia, and Raymond P. Hill of Upland, Pa.
Funeral service will be held 10:30am Wednesday at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
Visitation Wednesday 9am-10am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Pa.
