Robert John Hill October 10, 1949 - November 6, 2020

Robert John Hill, son of the late Robert and Teresa (Bloemker) Hill, brother of Anna (Hill) Close, brother-in-law of John Close and brother of Teresa (Hill) Maher, passed away on November 5, 2020.

Robert graduated from Newman High School in 1967 and joined the USMC where he served through 1972. He attended the Philadelphia Police Academy and served the City for 23 years in the 17th and 3rd districts. Upon retirement, he became Director of Security for the Center City Best Western, Philadelphia.
Bob and wife Carol later moved to Tucson and Scottsdale, AZ where he was employed in resort and retail security. He was instrumental in developing a product check and balance security system for stores located in Arizona and Albuquerque, NM.

He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Carol E. (Koontz) Hill, his daughter Amy (Hill) Murray whose husband is Paul Murray and son Robert Hill whose wife is Anne (Nagle) Hill; his grandchildren include Kristina Hill, Corine, Riley, and Connor Murray, Amelia and Evan Hill; his great granddaughter Kelcie Galloway; nieces Christy (Close) Enright, Jacqueline (Close) McLaughlin and Annette Maher.

Robert was devoted to his love for family, the Philadelphia police department, our great country and the Eagles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial visitation on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 9:30- 10:45 am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven, PA. 19015. A funeral service will be held at 11am. Interment will be private.

Those attending are asked to follow COVID-19 precautions by social distancing and wearing a face covering.
