Paul L. Grant Jr., 56, passed away August 7, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Born in Philadelphia he was raised in Springfield, Pa, before moving to Fairport, NY, 20 years ago. He was a graduate of Springfield High School, class of 1976, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s University in 1980 and graduated from Widener University School of Law. Paul was the president of Garrison Litigation Management Group in Rochester, NY. Prior to that he served as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General Corp for the US Army and also served in the Army Reserves. He also worked for different law firms in the Philadelphia area.
Paul enjoyed history and was a member of The Civil War Trust. He loved to read and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Above all else he loved to spend time with family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Paul L. Grant Sr.
He is survived by his mother Ruth Grant; fiancé Rachel Smith; sisters Beverly Grant and Nancy (Fran) Brolley; niece Emily and nephew Christopher.
Memorial service Friday 11am at CC Hancock Methodist Church, 542 Wesley Rd., Springfield, Pa, 19064. Visitation Thursday evening 7-9 and also Friday 10-11am at the church. Burial private.
