Patricia Louise (Herman) Johnston, 76, passed away June 25, 2013 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, Pa. She was a resident of Parkside and a former resident of Upland, Pa. She graduated from Notre Dame in Moylan, Pa, class of 1956. After graduating, she worked for a short time for Bell Telephone before devoting her life to raising her family. She tried to instill in her children the importance of family, faith, a firm moral compass and strong work ethic. She was always happiest when surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents Leroy K. and Audrey E. (Lee) Herman; daughter Linda Johnston; granddaughter Brittany Peticca; sisters Ruth Speak and Elizabeth Shaver.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Daniel Johnston; sons Paul (Renee), Joe (Linda), Tom, Mark (Maritza), John (Francine), and Tim; daughters Mary Tomeo, Anne (Jorge) Varela, Cricket (Tim) Peticca; 24 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews; the Shaver and Speak families.
All services held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
