Mabel Emma Taylor Wallace, 94, a resident of Granite Farms Estates in Media and former resident of Parkside, PA, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2014.
Mabel was born in 1919 in Chester, PA. The daughter of the late Isaac and Charlotte Taylor, she was raised and educated in the Chester area where she was a 1938 graduate of Chester High School. She met William Fred Wallace and married in 1943. They began raising their family in Parkside in 1948. Mabel was active in her Community as a Brownie & Girl Scout Leader, and Senior Ladies Program organizer. She volunteered her time to her Church community as a Teacher of Bible School and Sunday School, Women’s Society, and, Representative to Methodist Annual Conference.
She loved spending time with family and friends. Together with Fred, they vacationed at the Jersey shore and travelled the US and Europe.
Mabel Wallace is survived by Fred, her husband of 70 years; Margaret Diane Wallace of San Diego, CA; and Patricia Ella Wallace of Mantua, N.J..
Visitation will be at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgemont Avenue, Brookhaven, PA, on Wednesday, March 5th, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM with a Service to follow.
A Memorial Service on Sunday, March 9th, at 2:30 PM will be held at the Auditorium of Granite Farms Estates, 1343 W. Baltimore Pike, Media.
