Lloyd Yarnell, 93, passed away December 23, 2017. He was a long time resident of Brookhaven, PA, and most recently resided at Chestnut Ridge. He was a graduate of Chester High School. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Sinclair Oil Company for 19 years and then spent 19 years as a postman out of the Media branch. LLoyd was a coach for the Suburban Teener Baseball League and was elected to Delco Athletics Hall of Fame. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed listening to and watching the games. He was a kindhearted man who loved to be surrounded in family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who love him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dorothy and his parents Ella and Ward Yarnell.
He is survived by his two sons Sonny (Linda) and Denny (Carolynn); 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held Friday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Friday 9:30-11am at the funeral home. Burial private.
