Katharine Elizabeth Markert (nee Worley), 67, of Brookhaven, Pa passed away July 31, 2015. Katharine was born in West Chester, Pa, and spent most of her life in Brookhaven. She attended Thomas Coeburn Elementary School in Brookhaven and graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1966. For almost 20 years she owned and operated Katharine’s Beauty Salon on Sellars Ave. in Ridley Park. She graduated from PIT in Media with her Associates Degree. Katharine worked for Neumann University in Aston, Pa, where she earnded her Bachelor’s Degree and later earned her Master’s Degree. While working at Neumann University she went from Financial Aid Assistant to the Director of Financial until she left in July 2010. Katharine was the second daughter to Laura Rzucidlo Worley and Roy Worley.

She is survived by her husband James Markert and son Timorthy Markert, 1 nephew, 1 niece, 3 great nephews, and 3 great nieces. The most important things in the life of Katharine were trusting in God, her family, and her friends.
