John DeMarco, 84,

passed away April 18, 2008 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he was a resident of Parkside, Pa, for the past 41 years. Prior to that he was a resident of Upland, Pa.

He attended Media High School.

He was belonged to Parkside Fire House as a Lifetime Member, Sun Honor Club, Firemen’s Association State of Pennsylvania. He loved spending time with his family and was a fun loving and devoted husband. He was a veteran of US Army WWII, was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/ 2 bronze stars, and WWII Victory Medal. He was predeceased by his son John T. DeMarco Jr. He was the loving husband of Carol DeMarco for the past 43 years. He was the father of Wayne DeMarco of New Castle, DE, Raymond DeMarco of New Castle, DE, Trudy Kinsler of Upland, Pa, and Kathy Prichard of New Castle, DE.

He was the grandfather of 9 and the great grandfather of 10.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.

Friends may call Tuesday evening 7-9 and Wednesday 10-11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home.

Interment Mt. Hope Cemtery, Aston, Pa.
