John J. Wentland, 59, passed away November 18, 2010 at Jennersville Hospital, Jennersville, Pa.
Born in Chester, Pa, he resided in Toby Farms for many years before moving to Avondale, Pa, 12 years ago.
He graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1969.
He worked for Kimberley Clark as a security guard for 36 years.
He was an active member of Avondale Fire House, Avondale, Pa, and a current member of Media Fire House, Media, Pa. He loved to boat, fish, and play with his gadgets.
He was the husband of the late Helen “Debbie” Wentland and the son of the late Gerald F. and Mary M. Wentland. He was the brother of Mary (Joseph) Skulski of Brookhaven, Pa and Kathryn Deering of Glen Mills, Pa,
Gerard J. Wentland of Tennesee and Joseph J. Wentland of Brookhaven, Pa.
He was also survived by 4 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service Wednesday 10:30am at St. Thomas The Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, Pa, 19342.
Visitation Tuesday evening 7-9pm at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015 and also Wednesday morning 9:00-10:15am at the church.
Interment St. Thomas the Apostle, Glen Mills, Pa.
