Helen Mildred “Millie” Dix, 87, passed away Nov. 10, 2012. Born in Chester, she was a long time resident of Brookhaven and lived the last 2 years in Burleson, Tx. She was a 1942 graduate of Chester High School. Millie was a secretary for Brookhaven Swim Club for 35 years. She was heavily involved in Brookhaven Politics being in the Republican Assoc. of Brookhaven and Judge of Elections. She was very active in the community of Brookhaven and loved living there.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald; her parents Mildred and Clarence Blisard; her brothers James and Richard Blisard.
She is survived by her children Robert Dix, Donald (Lynne) Dix, Michael (Michelle) Dix, Elizabeth (Jay Larkin) Dix, and Margaret (Robert) Yeagley; her sister Ursula (late Lew) Sparks; her sister-in-laws Jackie and Carol Blisard; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be Friday 10:30am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road Brookhaven, Pa. 19015. Visitation Thursday evening 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave, Brookhaven , Pa. 19015 and also Friday morning 9:30 am – 10:15 at the church. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood Pa. Donations can be made to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY, 10163.
