Emma S. Minarcik March 31, 1932 - December 22, 2012

Emma S. Minarcik (nee Spirito ) , 80 Passed away peacefully on December 22, 2012 with her children at her side.

She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. to Italian immigrant parents. She lived in Brookhaven for the past 53 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Charity and a long time member of the church choir.

After all her children were in school, she reentered the workforce. She retired in 1990 after serving 20 years as a school secretary for the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy was being around her family and grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Concetta Spirito:predeceased by her husband Andrew of 59 years and her cherished granddaughter Devon.

She is survived by her sons Andrew (Karen); Thomas, Steven, daughter Lorie (Mark) McKniff ; and three grandsons, Brian, David and Jesse.

Funeral service Thurs. 10:30 am Our Lady of Charity Church 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven Pa. Friends may call Thursday 9:00 am – 10:15 am at the church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetary Yeadon, Pa.
