Charles Ednie Jr. May 29, 1922 - December 17, 2012

Charles V. Ednie, Sr. 90 year old resident of Brookhaven, PA passed away peacefully on December 17, 2012 following a brief illness. Son of the late Charles B. Ednie and Sadie Jacobs Ednie of New York, Charles was pre-deceased by 3 siblings, James, Sylvester and Katherine. Born and educated in Brooklyn, New York Charles served in the Marine Corp in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Bess Levy Ednie, Charles is also survived by daughter, Janice (Thomas) Carreras of Maryland, sons Charles V. Jr. (Mimi) of Glenolden PA and Kenneth (Joan) Ednie of Hazelton, PA, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Sat. 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Charity Church 231 Upland Rd. Brookhaven, Pa. 19015. Internment Lawn Croft Cemetery Linwood, Pa. Friends may call Sat. 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers mass cards would be appreciated.
