Carolyn D. Lundberg January 24, 1948 - February 3, 2024

Date of Funeral

February 15, 2024

Carolyn Deborah Lundberg (nee Kennedy), 76, of Aston, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 3rd.

Carolyn is survived by Richard Lundberg, her husband of 54 years; her three children Richard (Jennifer), Ryan, and Kara; and four grandchildren Samuel, Benjamin, Sara Mae and Belle.

She is pre-deceased by her mother. Monica Swoboda Kennedy, her father, David Kennedy, and brother, David E Kennedy.

Born in Chester in 1948, Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Sun Valley High School in Aston and graduated from West Chester College in 1969, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Carolyn married Richard, the love of her life, in 1970 and between them, began to create a wonderful life together. In 1985, Carolyn went back to the classroom. She substituted at several local school districts and ultimately found a professional home at St Joseph’s Catholic School in Aston. She retired in 2013 after teaching for over 30 years.

Carolyn devoted herself to her family and friends with a love that was boundless. She volunteered, supported, den leadered, cheered, cookie mothered, cared for, and nurtured her family to the very best of her very capable abilities. She leaves an indelible impression on those who called her daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and colleague. We, her family, were blessed to call her Wife and Mom.

I never had the privilege of meeting Carolyn Lundberg in person. However, I got to know and learn about her through posts on Facebook by the Lundberg family. Not doubt she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Sending condolences and and caring wishes to the Lundberg family.

My wife and I met Richard and Carolyn by an accidental dinner on our first cruise and immediately formed a lasting friendship. We had exciting adventures together and enjoyed Richard’s insistence on geting a flaming sumbrero which he finnally succeded!
It is saddening to see that Carolyn has passed on to eternity and pray for Richard and the family (of which she was VERY PROUD) at this time. GOD bless you all!!!
