Blanche A. Viebahn, 90, passed away August 20, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa. Born in Chester, Pa, she was a resident of Glen Mills, Pa, for the last 37 years and was a life long resident of Delaware County. She was a graduate of Chester High School where she was the first honor student. She was a dedicated house wife for 55 years.She enjoyed going to the Pocono Mountains with her family. She belonged to Senior Citizens of St. Thomas, Concord Senior Citizens, and the Parkside Fire Company Women’s Auxilliary. She was predeceased by her father Joseph Zakielarz , mother Mary Otwinowska, brother Joseph Zakielarz,Jr. and son Adrian Bannan. She was the loving wife of John “Jack” E. Viebahn for 55 years. She was the mother of Rosalie Riddell of Philadelphia, Pa, Phyllis Pasqualini of Desert Hot Springs, Ca, John F.(Linda) of Aston, Pa, and Lorean Koscinski(John) of Glen Mills, Pa. She was the sister of Antionette Wardynski of Aston, Pa, and Eleanore Schoen of Andalusia, Pa. She was the proud grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 9. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 10:30 am Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, Pa, 19342. Visitation 8:30am-10am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Interment St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery.
