William “Pilky” Pilkington January 23, 1932 - September 17, 2012

William “Pilky” Pilkington, 80, passed away September 17, 2012 at his home. Born in Sackville, Pa, he was a current resident of Garnet Valley. He was a former long time resident of Brookhaven, Pa. He retired as a security guard for Penn Terminal in Eddystone, Pa. He loved to go fishing and bowling and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Above all else he loved spending time with his family and was a devoted husband and father. He was a Korean War Veteran, US Air Force. He is predeceased by his parents James and Anne Pilkington.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Shirley Pilkington; son William J. Jr.; daughter Dawn Marie Pilkington; brother Steve Kubla; sisters Anne Walley, Marylou Steinmacher, Betty Ann DiShullo, and Donna Elliott.

Funeral service 11am Friday at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Thursday evening 7-9 and also Friday morning 10-11am at the funeral home. Interment Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to DeVita Dialysis, 2476 East Swedesford Rd., Suite 150, Mavern, Pa, 19355.
