Ruth Rae Ferguson June 29, 1914 - May 9, 2009

Ruth Rae Ferguson, 94, passed away May 9, 2009 at Harlee Manor in Springfield, Pa. Ruth was born and educated in Chester, Pa, where she lived her entire life. She was a graduate of the Sleeper’s Business School. She was one of the first Gray Ladies of Crozer Hospital and also worked in their records department. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, but most of all, spending time with her family. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the Blue Church in Springfield and a long time member of the Chester Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of the late Howard Ferguson, daughter of the late Edmund and Mabel Miller, sister of the late Dorothy Farquharson, and grandmother of the late Jason Ferguson.

She was survived by her sons, Frank Ferguson of Media, Pa, and John Ferguson of Eddystone, Pa, her brother, John Miller of Glenn Mills, Pa, 3 Grandchildren, and 3

Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service 11 am Friday with the Eastern Star service to follow at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Friends may call 9:30-11:00am Friday at the funeral home. Interment Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, Pa.
