Ruth E. Grant, 92, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away November 27, 2015 at Plush Mills Senior Living Community, Wallingford, Pa. She was a resident of Springfield for over 60 years before moving to Plush Mills in 2013. Ruth was an extremely active member of CC Hancock United Methodist Church. She sang in their choir, planned and cooked meals for Leisure Timers, and belonged to the United Methodist Women. She also bowled in Hancock’s bowling league until she was 90 years old. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and traveling, especially family camping trips. She was a wonderful cook. Above all else she loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Paul L. Grant Sr.; her son Paul L. Grant Jr.; her parents William and Grace Swan; and her brother Ralph Swan.
She is survived by her daughters Beverly Grant and Nancy (Fran) Brolley; her brothers William and Rens Swan; grandchildren Emily and Christopher Brolley; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place Wednesday 10am at CC Hancock United Methodist Church, 542 Wesley Rd., Springfield, Pa, 19064. Visitation Wednesday 9-10am at the church. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CC Hancock United Methodist Church
