Robert Lightcap April 1, 1922 - July 16, 2012

Robert Lightcap, 90, passed away July 16, 2012 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Media, Pa. He had been a longtime resident of Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. He graduated from Pottsville High School. He was a long time employee of Ford Motor Company, Chester, Pa. He retired from FMC in Marcus Hook and the maintenance department of the Penn Delco School District. He was a member of the American Legion Post 926 in Aston, Pa. He was a former member of Brookhaven Baptist Church and a current member of Upland Baptist Church. He liked to fish, enjoyed life, and loved to make people laugh. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. He was predeceased by his son Robert Lightcap. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Lightcap; his brother James Lightcap; nephew George Lohin; niece Lynn Crowell.
His funeral service will be held Friday 12noon at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Friday 11-12 at the funeral home. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Upland Baptist Church, 325 Main St., Upland, Pa, 19015 or the charity of your choice.
