Patrick A. Lavelle, 79, passed away October 9, 2016 at his home. Born in West Philadelphia he was a resident of Highland Park Upper Darby and was currently residing in Brookhaven, Pa. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School. Patrick worked for G.E. Switchgear, Missle and Space, Boeing, United Engineers and Constructors, PECO, Raytheon. He was a member of Delchester Serra Club, Men of Malvern, and the Red Cross Members for Life Blood Donor. He was also a United States Army Veteran.
Patrick was a devout Catholic who valued God and family above all else. His faith in God and strong values guided his life as a loving husband and proud father of six girls.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary Jane (nee Surgenor) and Patrick Lavelle; his brother Jack; his sister Eileen.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Dolores (nee Mahler); his children Dolores Golden (Edward), Patricia Zecca (Michael), Dorothy Lavelle, Theresa Fallon (Frank), Jennifer Lavelle, and Christina Lavelle; his siblings David, Thomas, Gerard, Lawrence, Daniel, Joseph, Richard, Maureen, and Stephen; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral mass Saturday 11am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Saturday 9-11am at the church. Interment SS Peter and Paul, Springfield, Pa.
