He was born in Chester, graduated from Chester High, and lived most of his life in Delaware County.
“Joe” lived a life full of service.
He enlisted in the Army around the age of 25 and served 3 years in South Korea as a dispatcher at an oil facility. After leaving Korea he was briefly stationed at Fort Knox, where he spent the rest of his military career before being honorably discharged from service.
After serving in the military he spent some time performing in an a cappella group, and was a longtime tool and die maker before his retirement.
