Lillian Deeck August 3, 1925 - December 3, 2013

Lillian Mazepink Deeck , 88, passed away December 3, 2013 at Fair Acres Geriatic Center in Media, PA. Lillian was born in Woodlyn, Pa and lived most of her life in Brookhaven, Pa where she raised her family. She was a graduate of Ridley High School and worked at Sun Oil during World War II. She was a long time member of Brookhaven Swim Club and a member of its synchronized swimming team for seniors. She was very active and was very proud to participate in the Senior Olympics for several years. Lillian was interested in local senior activities, particularly the Chariteans from Our Lady of Charity Church. She loved line dancing and taking bus trips with her many friends. She enjoyed a special 80th birthday trip to Mexico with her daughters and granddaughters.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband, James B. Deeck, a former mayor of Brookhaven, her parents Anastasia and Michael Mazepink and five siblings.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Deeck of Brookhaven, PA, daughters Cheryl Mitchell (Curtis) of Georgetown, DE, Janice Yarnall (Richard) of Lewes, DE and Donna Rhine (Robert) of Bethany Beach, DE. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral service Monday, December 9th, 10 AM at Bateman-Allen Funeral Home. 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA 19015. Visitation 9-10 at the funeral home. Interment SS Peter and Paul, Springfield, PA.
