Leonard McGinn, 75, passed away December 14, 2010 at his home.
Born in Chester, Pa, he lived most of his life in Woodlyn, Pa. He has resided in Slaughter Beach, De, for the past 25 years.
He graduated from St. James High School in 1953.
He worked for Westinghouse as a welder, several car agencies as a mechanic, the American Baseball Cap, and owned and operated several service stations in Ridley Park, Pa, and Dover, De.
He enjoyed boating and fishing on the Delaware Bay and had a love for fixing up cars.
He was predeceased by his brother James M. McGinn.
He was the beloved husband of Mary McGinn for the last 54 years.
He was the father of Leonard McGinn Jr. of Milford, De, Susan Cleary of Nottingham, Pa, Linda Lewis of Jennersville, Pa, and Mary Ann McGinn of Cape May, NJ.
He was the brother of Paul McGinn of Woodlyn, Pa, and Ruthanne Moffett of Media, Pa.
He was the proud grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 3.
Funeral service will be held Monday 11:30am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
Visitation will be held Monday 10am-11:30 at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
