I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your father, whom I affectionately called
“Uncle Merc”. I hope your many memories of him comfort you. I’ll always remember the stories my mother shared with me of him, Aunt Dolores, Johnny and Rosemary.
Love to all, my prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. Your Dad was a friend of my father’s and used to stop by McCloskey’s Tavern to see him and have a cold one…but never during lent! If you look in the dictionary for the word gentleman, your father’s picture would be beside it. Mr. Mercandante was a class act! I am sure my Dad, John, is waiting for him in heaven with a “cold one”. May he Rest In Peace.
