John Richard Semcheski, 80, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, in Pembroke Pines, FL.  Born April 15, 1943, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he grew up in Chester, PA.  He also resided in Virginia and Maryland before moving to Miramar, FL.  He was a graduate of Chester High School and Temple University School of Pharmacy.  He worked as a pharmacist for Bethesda Naval Hospital and the Georgetown University Medical Center.

He was extremely interested in his family heritage and genealogy, and also really enjoyed listening to music. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends and loved his visits to Parkside and Galeton, PA.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Catherine (nee Zola) Semcheski.

He was survived by his loving partner of 50 years Ronald L. Tubbs, who passed away shortly after, on May 8, 2024.

He is also survived by his siblings Michael (Penny) Semcheski of Audubon, PA, Thomas (Karen) Semcheski of Aston, PA, and Joan Abrams of Brookhaven, PA; his nephews and nieces Michael Abrams (Nena Saunders), Karen (Andrew) Reaume, Beth (Jason) Soch, Christy (Kirk) Maurer, Michael H. (Hanna) Semcheski, Sara Semcheski, and Katie Padron.  He will be sorely missed by many friends and relatives.

A graveside service will take place Saturday June 8, 2024, at 11:00am at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA with a Memorial Celebration of Life to follow from 12:00-3:00 at Barnabys Aston, 5501 Pennell Rd., Media, PA, 19063.
