August 23, 2009- John Barr Ward, III, age 33, deceased of Georgetown, DE. Husband of Joy Ward (nee Longo) and father of Sarah and Hailey Ward. Beloved son of Chip and Gail Ward, and Toni Crist; Beloved grandson of Clara Ward; John attended Coatesville schools and Del-Tech in Georgetown. John worked for Nelson Heating and Air Conditioning in Harbeson, DE. Previously he was employed at Leers in Newark and Casella’s Longneck. He previously lived in Newark and Pennsylvania. John was a loving husband and father. He also was a great Phila. Sports fan.

Joy Liane Longo Ward, age 32 deceased of Georgetown, DE. Wife of John Ward and mother of Sarah and Hailey Ward. Most precious daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth Longo and Dolores and Robert Rubolin; beloved granddaughter of Anthony and Madeline Malerba and Velia Spencer. Joy attended St. Agnes, West Chester; Avon Grove schools, McKean High School and the Coatesville Vo-Tech School of Cosmetology. Joy worked at Bad Hair Day Medspa and Salon in Lewes and was previously employed at other beauty salons in the Sussex County and Newark area. She previously lived in Newark and Pennsylvania. Joy loved her husband, children and Aerosmith.

Sarah Justine Ward, age 14 deceased of Georgetown, DE. Beautiful daughter of John and Joy Ward, sister of Hailey Marie Ward. Beloved granddaughter of Dolores and Robert Rubolin, Anthony and Elizabeth Longo, Chip and Gail Ward, andToni Crist. Sarah attended Long Neck Elementary, Sussex Central Middle School and was to enter high school this September. She was a member of the Oak Orchard Boys and Girls Club. Sarah loved her family, pets, friends and fashion.

Sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles are: Robyn Rubolin, Jennifer and Blaine Jacoby, Rachel and Glenn Ford, Daniel Rubolin, Michael and Megan Ward, Christine Ward, Kristin McCullough, and Bruce Vesey.

John, Joy, and Sarah met their untimely deaths due to an automobile accident involving another car.

A funeral service will take place Monday August 31, 2009 1pm at the Lewes Church of Christ, 15183 Coastal Highway (Route 1), Milton, De.

Visitation- Monday 10am-1pm Monday at the church.

Interment will follow at the Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, De
