Jeffrey S. Whelan June 24, 1979 - April 23, 2012

Jeffrey S. Whelan, 32, passed away suddenly in an automobile accident on April 23, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Media, Pa. He was a graduate of Penncrest High School, class of 1997. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He loved playing his guitar, fishing, hiking, and spending time with his kids. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Clarence and Dolly Whelan and his cousin Jimmy Kelly. He is survived by his parents Maureen and Scott Whelan; sons James Jeffrey and Patrick Ames Whelan; brother Corey Whelan; sister Lauren Whelan; maternal grandparents Marge and Jim Hino; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral mass Saturday 10:30am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Friday evening 7-9 at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015 and also Saturday 9:30-10:30am at the church. Interment private.
