Helene M. McMonagle, 89, passed away December 15, 2018. She has been a longtime resident of Brookhaven, PA. Helene was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School, Moylan, class of 1947. She worked for Keystone and Robert Black Insurance Companies, and most recently as a supervisor for Harleysville Insurance Company. An active member of Our Lady of Charity Church, she was a devoted Catholic whose faith never wavered. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader and volunteer at both Our Lady of Charity Church and Aston Library. Her main joy was sharing Sunday dinner with her family. She was also an accomplished pianist and played the clarinet in Notre Dame’s orchestra.
Helene was predeceased by her husband John McMonagle; her parents Harry and Helen (nee Bonfig) Rucker; and her brothers Harry and Karl Rucker.
She was a devoted mother to Lynn McMonagle and Carol (Harry) Swayngim; loving grandmother to Harry Swayngim and Helen (Kevin) Raport; and great grandmother to 2.
Funeral Mass Wednesday 11am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Wednesday 10-11am at the church. Burial St. Dennis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.
