Harry F. Root January 9, 1949 - January 29, 2013

Harry F. Root Jr went home to be with the Lord in his home surrounded by his loving family wife Brenda and his daughters Marcie and Connie. Rooty raised in Chester, Pa. graduated from Chester High School. He was retired from Delaware County Intermediate Unit. After 30 years as advocate in vocational education. A carpenter and Vica advisor. He was formerly a volunteer fireman and Brookhaven Building Inspector. Beloved Santa Claus ,to many organizations and family. He had a love for the Lord with cheerful serving and love.. He had passion for others serving with a cheerful heart. He always had an encouraging word to lift spirit and a sense of humor. He loved his motorcycles and his adventures. A few of his favorite things; he had love of motercycles, summer spent on the houseboat, and fellowship gatherings at his home. Brookhaven volunteer fireman, Building inspector, Judge of Elections. Survived by his devoted wife of 43 years Brenda Phillips Root. Daughters Marcie (Sean) Catka, Connie (Grant) Moyer. 8 grandchildren. Brothers Tom and Bert Root. Sister Kathy Root. Funeral service Sat. 1:00 P.M. at Calvary Chapel of Delaware County 500 Brandywine Dr., Chadds Ford, Pa. 19317. Interment private. Friends may call Sat. 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 P.M. at the church.
