Gertrude Bowling November 3, 1914 - September 4, 2015

Gertrude Bowling, age 100, born November 3, 1914 in Wilkes Barre Pa. A resident of the Pocopson Home in West Chester, Pa. A former resident of Brookhaven. Gertrude was a counselor at the Elwyn Institute in Middletown Twp., Delaware County. Original and founding member of Our Lady of Charity Church in Brookhaven, Pa., and also a member of the Charitians of Our Lady of Charity. Wife of the late J. Carroll Bowling. Survived by daughters Lorraine Clark and Janet O’Shea. Grand children Tom Clark, Colleen Conroy, Karen Province, and Kevin, Brian, Erin O’Shea. Seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Charity Church 231 Upland Rd. Brookhaven Pa. 19015. Interment S.S.Peter and Paul Cemetery Springfield, Pa. 19064. Friends may call Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Donation to the Pocopson Home 1695 Lenape Rd. West Chester Pa. 19382 would be appreciated.
