Gerald J. McGee SR., 63,
passed away March 8, 2008 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa.
Born in Ridley Park, Pa, he was raised in Folcroft, Pa, and currently resided in Brookhaven since 1980. He also resided in Darby for 9 years.
He was a member of the St. James Alumni Choir, Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, Pa. and Our Lady of Charity Choir. He retired January of 2008 after 9 1/2 years,Single Holdings of King of Prussia in Customer Service.
He previously worked for 20 years for the Delaware County Times in retail sales and advertisement.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was the son of the late Eugene J. and Helen McGee, brother of the late Eugene McGee and Ann Fries. He was
survived by his wife of 36 years, Valerie Smitheman McGee of Brookhaven, Pa. He was the father of Gerald J. McGee Jr. of Brookhaven, Pa.
He was the grandfather of Gerald J. McGee III of Brookhaven, Pa., and the brother of Phillip McGee of Drexel Hill, Pa. He also had
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service Wed. 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Charity Church 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa. 19015. Interment S.S.Peter and Paul, Springfield, Pa. Friends may call Tuesday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and also Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa. 19015
