Edith Naoma Howes, 85,

passed away November 23, 2008 at Brandywine Hall, West Chester, Pa.

Born in Rising Sun, Md, she was a

resident of Glen Mills, Pa for the past 48 years. Prior to that she resided in Brookhaven, Pa.

She attended Nether Providence High School. She worked for Scott Paper where she was a lab tech for 24 years and also worked for American Viscose for 12 years.

She was married to the late Thomas L. Carroll and was currently married to Joseph J. Howes of Glen Mills, Pa, for the past 39 years. She was the loving mother of Thomas L. Carroll and her daughter-in-law, Ginger W. Carroll of Bear, De. She was the sister of Lawrence M. Pugh of Virginia Beach, VA, and the late Harold Pugh and the late Theda P. Pilkington. She was devoted grandmother of Ryan, Daniel, and Steven Carroll. There will be a graveside service Saturday 10:30am at LawnCroft Cemetery, on the Ridge Rd., Linwood, Pa, 19061.

Friends may call Friday evening 7-9pm and also Saturday morning 9-10am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa, 19061.
