Charles L. Jackson Sr., 58, passed away June 3, 2006 at his home. Born in Chester, Pa, he was a resident of both Brookhaven and Parkside, however was a long term resident of Claymont, DE, for 22 years. For the past 2 years he lived in Marcus Hook, Pa. He was a 1965 graduate of Sun Valley High School. He was self employed and the owner of Jackson Builder’s in Parkside, Pa, and then he went on to work for Sun Oil Company for 7 years. He was the son of Charles and Irma Jackson. Father of the late Linda Christine Jackson and step father of the late Daniel Hill. Husband to the late Margaret Curry Jackson who passed away in March of 2006. Father of Charles Lee Jackson of Clifton Heights, Pa., Thomas Stanley Jackson of Glenolden, Pa., John Horace Jackson of Ridley Park, Pa., Donald Michael Jackson of Brookhaven, Pa.. Step father of John Hill and David Hill of Claymont, Delaware. Brother of Ruth Palazzo of Elmer, New Jersey, Catherine Johnson of Marcus Hook, Pa, and David Jackson of Oxford, Pa. Grandfather of 15. Funeral service will be held 12 PM on Thursday at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa. 19015. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa. Friends may call Thursday 10:00 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
