Cathy Dee Whittington October 29, 1955 - February 12, 2012

Cathy Dee Whittington, 56, passed away February 12, 2012 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa. Born in Chester, Pa, she resided in Brookhaven, Pa, before moving to Parkside, Pa, in 1972. She was a 1973 graduate of Sun Valley High School, and also graduated from Widener College and Neumann University, School of Nursing. She previously worked for Scott Paper in the R & D Department and was a computer consultant for Parkside Elementary School and Novell Industries. She was currently working for Broomall Nursing and Rehab. She was a past member of Parkside Fire Company. She was an avid Eagles fan, enjoyed traveling, and loved her cat, Breeze. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Whittington. She is survived by her brothers; Paul (Juliann) Whittington and Frank (Cheryl) Whittington; her nieces Ashley, Alexa, and Alexandra; and her nephew Paul Jr.

Funeral service will take place Friday 12 noon at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Thursday evening 7-9pm and also Friday 10am-12noon at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, Pa.
