Catherine M. “Kay” McPartland passed away April 20, 2016 at Chester County Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Chester, Pa, she was a resident of Upland, Pa, before moving to West Grove, Pa, 20 years ago with her daughter. She worked for Crozer Chester Medical Center for many years and more recently worked as a middle school teacher’s aide at Fred S. Engle Middle School for 10 years before her retirement. Kay was a member of the Jennersville Senior Circle, the Red Hatters, and the Oxford Seniors. She was an avid Phillies fan, liked to read, and loved to travel. Above all else she loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John McPartland who passed away in 1988; her mother Catherine and stepfather Anthony Rokicka, Sr.; and her brother Joe Yankanich, Jr..
She is survived by her loving children Andrew (Anne) McPartland, Catherine (Rick) West, and Maureen (Joe) Zdun; siblings Elizabeth Stief, Mary Brown, Anthony Rokicka Jr., Phillip Rokicka, and Robert Rokicka; her grandchildren Brian, John, Shannon, Jack, Rich, Joey, and Zach; and her great grandchildren Shane, Kyle, Luke, Maddox, and one on the way.
Funeral mass Monday 10:30am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Monday 9:30-10:30am at the church. Burial SS Peter and Paul, Springfield, Pa, 19064.
