Lucille Darnall Haggerty, 82,

passed away September 9, 2007 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Lima, Pa. Born in Chester, Pa, she has been a resident of Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Lima, Pa.

She was a graduate of Chester High School and Pierce Business Institute. She became a bookkeeper for Phoenix Steel before working many years at the Media courthouse. She then owned and operated Lucille’s Dresses of Distinction in Swarthmore, Pa.

She was well known locally as a singer of popular music in her twenties. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Hallowell and Ruby Bernabe. She was the mother of Dr. Jefferey T. Darnall of Media, Pa, and Gerald J. Haggerty III of Medford, NJ.
