Ann Wendel Cariello, 78,
passed away May 27, 2009 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa
Born in Shamokin, Pa. She has resided in Upland, Pa, for the past 37 years. Prior to moving to Upland she lived in Chester, Pa.
She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1948. She worked for the Wawa Corporation in the profit sharing department and Container Research, Lenni, Pa. She was the former owner of Elwyn Restaurant and Co-owner of Fran and Nan’s in Chester, Pa, and at Five Points in Aston, Pa. Mrs. Cariello loved to crochet and cook, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and was a seasoned decorator for the holidays.
She was the beloved wife of Francis Cariello, Upland, Pa, for the past 57 years. She was predeceased by her son Francis Cariello Jr. She was the loving mother of Joseph Cariello, West Chester, Pa, and Anna Marie Cariello, Aston, Pa. She was the sister of Martin Wendel, Glen Mills, Pa, Dr. Henri Wendel, Wilmington, De, Kathleen Kerwin of Silver Springs, Md.
She was the loving grandmother of 2 and also was survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 10:30am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015.
Visitation Tuesday 8:30-10:00am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015
Interment Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
