Allan Joseph Quis, 84, passed away June 12, 2014 at Belvedere Nursing Facility, Chester, Pa. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Hauppauge, NY, and later resided in Brookhaven, Pa. He graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, Ridgewood, NY. He was a Quality Control Technician and retired in 1994. He was an accomplished Semi-pro baseball player and an avid fisherman. He loved to read, especially about military history and current events. Allan was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Grace and his brother Kenneth Quis.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Marie Quis; son Allan M. Quis; daughter Karen M. Leddy (Jerry); his 3 grandchildren Kaitlin, Aidan, and Kelsey Leddy.
Funeral mass Wednesday 11:00 am at St. John Chrysostom, 617 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, Pa, 19086. Visitation Wednesday 10:00-11:00am at the church. Graveside service Thursday 12noon at St. Charles Resurrection Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY, 11735.
