Alice M. Simmons, 76, passed away March 25, 2017 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa. She was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1958, and was a resident of Brookhaven, PA, for the last 53 years. Alice was a loving mother and extremely devoted wife and caretaker to her husband. Alice was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Saltz in Chester PA before she had children, and after her husband retired she re-entered the workforce and was employed as an activities aide for the residents of Wallingford Nursing Home. She was a selfless kind woman who always put everyone else’s needs first. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. She is predeceased by her parents John and Alice Suda and her siblings William, Richard, and Jack Suda and Dorothy Chiponis.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years Edward Simmons; her loving sons Steven and Mark Simmons; her siblings Thomas and Robert Suda, Louise Babicki, and Jean Losak; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service Saturday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave, Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Saturday 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
