Family came first to Albert, whether being involved with his son’s sporting events, mentoring them throughout their careers, or just being a great dad. After his son’s were grown, he continued with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether it was trips to the shore, birthdays, holidays, pizza nights, or family gatherings, Albert was always involved and loved being with family.

Albert married Dorothy Pecoraio in 1941, and they were together for 71 years until she passed away on December 24, 2012. Albert and Dorothy settled in Delaware County and raised their family, he always considered Delaware County his home. Albert previously resided in Middletown, Delaware County, Chalfont, and Brookhaven.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Pecoraio), parents, Nick and Macolata Montella, two sisters, two brothers, and his son, Robert “Bob” Montella.
