Adalberto “Al” Burgos was born on 03/02/1959 in Hatillo, Puerto Rico to Marta Candelaria and the Late Luis Burgos. He lived and became a pillar in the communities of Chester and Brookhaven, PA. He was a well-respected employee for Sam & Sam’s Meats in Chester PA., for 20+ years. He always lent a helping hand for anyone who may have needed it and never requested anything in return. He was never scared to make a friend and spread kindness to others. He was of catholic faith, but he always respected other religions.
Al was an eclectic individual with many skills in the arts ranging from singing, playing the guitar, dancing, and sketching/ painting. He was always the life of the party. He loved music in general but had a deep affection for Puerto Rican music and culture. He was the first one on the dance floor and always urging others to join him. He loved gardening as a past time and would dabble in the arts of Wing Chun Kung Fu. His favorite action movie stars were Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.
Adalberto was diagnosed with a Rare Stage 4 esophageal cancer in April of 2021. He fought the best he could within that year, but unfortunately the cancer proved to be too strong, and he passed away on 05/29/2022 at 10pm at Riddle Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family members.
He married Aida Luz Rodriguez on December 5th, 1987 and remained married until his departure.
