Patricia Ann Bantum, 72, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital. Born and raised in Avondale, PA, she has most recently been a resident of Chester, PA. She was a graduate of Kennett High School and went on to earn her Nursing degree. She worked for Bayada Nurses. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Family Church.
Patricia was great at crafting, designing home décor and floral arrangements, and was known and loved for her cooking, especially on holidays. Her joy in life came from spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years Melvin Andre Bantum; her parents Barbara Sutton and Charles Alexander Poe; and her siblings Brenda Cubbage, Deborah Cubbage, John Sutton, Ronald Sutton, and Greg Sutton.
She is survived by her children Keith Bantum, Sean Alexander Bantum, and Nicole Wimbish; her grandchildren: Sean Jaden Tucker, Juelz Alexander Wimbish, Lauren Bantum, Justin Bantum, Dominique Bantum, Keith Bantum, Daishaun Alexander Murray, Nevaeh Marie Bantum, Gavin Bryce Bantum, Jordan Xavier Bantum, Julien Anthony Bantum, Tessa Leanne Bantum, Vance Legend Bantum, and Zaina Rose Bantum; her siblings Douglas (Sheila) Sutton Sr., Kendall Sutton, and Bruce Sutton; her great grandchildren Greyson Bantum, Dean Bantum, Myla Rivera, Aaliyah Robinson, Christoper Robinson, Olivia Robinson, Graclynn Robinson, Elena Bantum, Noelle Bantum, Yumi Bantum, and Sol Pacero; and her best friend Patricia Hamm; and her beloved cat Luna.
Funeral service Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10:00am at the New Hope Missionary Family Church, 24 Radio Park Lane, Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Flowers and personal donations can be delivered to the church Friday morning. Burial will be held privately.
