William Linwood Elliott

William Linwood Elliott, age 78, of Drexel Hill, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 9, 2023. He was born January 14, 1945 to the late William Louis Elliott and Jewel Virginia Elliott (Roach). Bill was born and raised in Chester PA and attended Chester High School. He served as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. Following his military service, he worked at Boeing, sold life insurance for Aid Association for Lutherans, Phoenix Steel, Congoleum, and retired from IBS in 2007. Bill was known as a jack of all trades, an all-around craftsman, he enjoyed working with his hands and had an eye for detail. His hobbies included woodworking, cabinetry, and even enjoyed making quilts.

Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda Kay Elliott (DeGarmo) whom he wed September 8, 1963 and his daughter Katherine Michelle Elliott Powers and brother Charles Robert Elliott (Barbara). He is survived by his Spiritual Advisor/Better Half, Elizabeth G. Cox; daughter, Janice Lynn Johnson (Tom); step-children, Michael K. Cox (Barbara), Colleen M. Cox, Shawn P. Cox; his grandchildren, Thomas Alan Johnson III, Carly Ann Johnson, William Thomas Powers, and Mark Joseph Powers; step grandchildren, Jessica Kelly (Zak), Victoria Todd, Andrew Cox (Darby), Matthew Cox, Melanie Cox, Tempestt Cox and Adam Cox; sister, Nancy Lee Roccio (Richie), brother, Larry Ryland Elliott (Pam) and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM -12:45 PM at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Avenue Brookhaven, PA followed by Military Honors and Words of Remembrance at 1:00 PM.
